Liberation Farms is a part of the Maine Immigrant Greens Collaborative which was launched in 2022 to address immigrant families’ limited access to culturally appropriate, nutritious greens in Maine’s emergency food system. The Collaborative purchases greens from Liberation Farms and other farms then lightly processes them to be distributed through food pantries and used in culturally appropriate meals in schools. This short film highlights how traditional recipes are helping to connect Maine’s farms and fisheries to school kitchens.
