Hilowle Aden

Hilowle is the SBCA’s Community Advocacy Manager, returned to the SBCA in 2021 with 15 years of experience working for the St. Mary’s Healthcare system, Maine Immigrant and Refugee Services, Lewiston Public Schools, United Youth Empowerment Services, Support Solutions, and Central Maine Medical Center’s High Street Family Medicine. Hilowle is also a certified mental health rehabilitation technician and behavioral health professional (BHP). He has also received certification in residential medication and administration (CRMA) and is a Direct Support Professional (DSP). Hilowle assists a wide range of clients and facilitates trainings for New American child care givers to achieve their state certifications in partnership with DHHS and the City of Lewiston. Hilowle has a BA in Mental Health & Human Services from the University of Maine, Auburn. Hilowle provides English, Somali, and Maay Maay translation. Hilowle is passionate about empowering community members to take control of their health services by increasing awareness and encouraging and teaching positive expectations.
